Placements24 invites a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client in Polokwane, a leader in advanced materials manufacturing. You will optimize production, drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure top quality through process design, implementation, and continuous improvement.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in process engineering, and strong lean, Six Sigma, DOE and SPC skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Experience in process optimization, problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with automation and control systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, technologies, and equipment.
• Design and conduct experiments (DOE) to optimize process parameters and validate changes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure successful product and process launches.
• Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes and report on performance.
• Ensure processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
