Placements24 in South Africa seeks an Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician to support our Tembisa operation. The role focuses on maintaining a wide range of manufacturing equipment, diagnosing faults, performing preventive maintenance, and reducing downtime.

You will work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, interpret schematics, and document activities in the CMMS. The position blends on-site duties with remote admin tasks and offers a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Respond to breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret blueprints and technical manuals for repairs.
• Maintain safety checks and compliance with regulations.
• Keep CMMS records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with production to minimize downtime.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S.
