The ideal candidate will interpret schematics, troubleshoot faults, install equipment, and support maintenance strategies while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Specialist or Electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electrical issues.
• Familiarity with a variety of electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
• Good communication skills for reporting and coordinating with colleagues.
• Valid electrical trade certification or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional standby duty.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems including power distribution and control panels.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions promptly.
• Install new electrical equipment and systems per codes and standards.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical specs.
• Perform testing and calibration of electrical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical work meets safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Assist in development and implementation of maintenance strategies.
• Respond to urgent electrical issues on-site in Tembisa, Gauteng.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and departments for integrated upkeep.
