Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our client’s operations. You will perform scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults, and help ensure continuous production on critical lines.

You will read blueprints and manuals, log maintenance activities, and cooperate with production teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining is an asset.
• Trade certifications in mechanical or electrical trades preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills under pressure in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic faults promptly.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to perform repairs and installations.
• Inspect equipment and facilities, report hazards and maintenance needs.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and parts used.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production teams to minimize downtime.
