Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing firm in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting and safe repairs of complex equipment to sustain production output.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy plant environment.

Formación

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance and repair of mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and blueprints for accurate repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and safety-focused approach.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNCs, conveyors and automated lines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Inspect equipment and implement preemptive actions to avoid breakdowns.
• Interpret manuals and schematics to guide repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities, parts used and time spent.
• Ensure safety regulations, lockout/tagout and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with production to minimize downtime during maintenance.
• Respond to malfunctions and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Stay updated on maintenance technologies and best practices.
