Job summary

Pragma Global is building a small Innovation Hub and seeks a DevOps Engineer who will own DevOps and contribute to development for the first year. You’ll work hands-on on internal tools, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, shaping the team’s workflow with minimal supervision.

The role is hybrid, requiring independent problem solving and strong collaboration with a Business Analyst and Department Head. Prior DevOps and development experience are essential.

Qualifications

• A tertiary IT qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a DevOps role with hands-on development.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and cloud environments.
• Strong Linux admin skills and scripting experience.
• Ability to translate requirements into working software independently.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal tools and applications with minimal mentoring.
• Write backend code in Python and/or C# against PostgreSQL databases.
• Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Set up and manage Azure cloud environments and hosting practices.
• Provide production support and incident response when needed.
• Ensure security best practices across deployment environments.
