Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its IT team in George. You will bridge development and operations, focusing on automating deployment pipelines and infrastructure management to improve reliability and scalability of our software delivery.

You will design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps, and apply IaC with Terraform or Ansible, while ensuring security and high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven DevOps experience with infrastructure automation.
• Strong AWS knowledge including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement IaC principles using Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, ensure high availability and DR.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment and performance.
• Incorporate security best practices across infrastructure and deployment.
