Placements24 seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and monitor performance in Paarl, Western Cape. You will bridge software development and IT operations for scalable deployment.

You will design and implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, manage cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and ensure security and high availability. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Extensive cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization.
• Familiarity with IaC and config management tools.
• Solid networking, Linux/Windows, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Automate system administration tasks, including provisioning, configuration management, and patching.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Implement robust security practices throughout deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for deployed systems.
• Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and best practices.
