The role offers hybrid work with on-site collaboration in Soweto and remote flexibility. A strong background in cloud platforms, IaC, containers, monitoring, and scripting is essential, along with collaboration with development and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• Proficient with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiar with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Solid networking concepts and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Implement and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production.
• Automate operational tasks with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ensure security, availability, and performance of production systems.
• Collaborate with development and ops teams to improve reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
