Placements24 is seeking a Community Development Facilitator in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role focuses on facilitating participatory processes, developing community-led projects, and building local capacity to improve socio-economic and environmental outcomes.

You will collaborate with local government, NGOs, and private partners, travel within the Stellenbosch area, and balance field activity with planning and reporting to ensure sustainable impact for residents and communities.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Community Development or related field.
• Experience in community development, facilitation, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate community consultations, workshops, and planning sessions.
• Support identification and development of community-led projects.
• Mobilise community participation and build local capacity for development initiatives.
• Liaise with local government, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders to secure support and resources.
• Monitor and evaluate progress and impact of development projects.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to community groups.
• Develop project proposals and reports for funding and accountability.
• Promote social cohesion and address community challenges through participatory approaches.
• Ensure projects align with organisation's mission and community needs.
• Contribute to strategic planning and operational management of programs.
