Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Development Facilitator for Pretoria to drive sustainable development within local communities. The role involves partnering with community groups, authorities, and NGOs to design and implement impactful projects in Gauteng.

This position offers meaningful social change and field presence in a hybrid work setting. The ideal candidate has a degree in related fields, 3+ years of experience in community development or facilitation, strong proposal and reporting

Qualifications

Degree in Community Development or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in community facilitation or development work.
In-depth understanding of development principles and participatory approaches.
Proven ability to engage diverse community groups, especially in Pretoria.
Strong proposal writing, reporting, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Facilitate community participation to identify development needs and priorities.
Develop project proposals and manage implementation of community-based initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, local government, and NGOs.
Organise and lead community workshops, training sessions, and public awareness campaigns.
Provide technical support in resource mobilization and project management.
Monitor progress, collect data, and report outcomes to stakeholders.
