Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT operations team. You will manage, scale, and optimize cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security, deploying and maintaining infrastructure and collaborating with development teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), plus scripting (Python/Bash).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure management or related roles.
• Hands-on with major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient in IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible).
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong networking, security and scripting skills (Python/Bash).

Responsabilités

• Deploy, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure across platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Implement and manage IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for infra and app deployments.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security; optimize as needed.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with development teams to meet application requirements.
