Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Infrastructure for an on-site role in Pretoria. You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud environments supporting critical applications, with emphasis on IaC, automation, and reliable operations.

The ideal candidate brings deep cloud architecture knowledge, hands-on Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation experience, and strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in software engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure and operations.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and provisioning.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and ensure uptime and reliability.
