This executive role blends in-office leadership with remote flexibility in the North West region.

You will oversee ERM framework, regulatory compliance, and risk reporting across financial, operational, credit, and market risk, while developing internal controls and stress testing

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related field.
• 10–15 years in risk management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Basel Accords and SARB regulations and ERM principles.
• Experience leading ERM programs and audits/regulatory reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide ERM framework.
• Oversee identification, assessment and reporting of all risks.
• Set risk appetite and tolerances aligned with objectives and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with banking and financial regulations.
• Lead risk management team and foster a risk-aware culture.
• Advise the board and executives on risk mitigation strategies.
• Implement internal controls and stress testing analyses.
• Manage relations with external auditors and regulators.
