Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for the banking services division in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. This hybrid role balances strategic oversight with hands-on daily management, focusing on optimizing processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of banking operations experience, strong leadership, and a track record of driving efficiency and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business/finance field and at least 5 years of banking/financial operations experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the banking services department to ensure smooth workflow.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Optimize core banking processes including account opening, transactions, and support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls; manage risk.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to high performance.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage technology to automate and streamline operations and manage vendor SLAs.
