Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agile Project Lead for a dynamic software development house in Centurion, Gauteng. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with remote flexibility and requires guiding agile teams through the full software development lifecycle to deliver high‑quality products.

You will facilitate ceremonies, coach teams, manage backlogs, remove impediments, and collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management with a strong focus on agile software development.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience leading agile teams and delivering complex software projects.
• Excellent understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach and mentor development teams on agile principles and best practices.
• Manage project backlogs, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Remove impediments and roadblocks for the development team to ensure smooth progress.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to define project scope and requirements.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Foster a collaborative and communicative team environment, both in-office and remotely.
• Ensure the timely delivery of software releases that meet quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of agile processes within the organization.
