Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC for our client in George. You will design, model, and manage HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects, focusing on energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of HVAC design experience, with proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and HVAC load analysis. PE/PrEng is a plus; LEED knowledge is advantageous. A competitive package is offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years' HVAC design and project management experience.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE.
• Strong thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer knowledge.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and energy regulations.
• PE/PrEng registration is a plus; LEED is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Perform detailed load calculations and energy modeling using specialized software.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and controls.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQ for HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and post-installation phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system performance and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Research and propose innovative HVAC technologies and energy-efficient solutions.
