Placements24 is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialization in HVAC to lead remote design teams. You will drive conceptual and detailed HVAC system design, champion energy efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards across projects worldwide.

The role emphasizes leadership, rigorous simulations, and collaboration with offshore engineers. You will review drawings and BOMs, mentor junior staff, manage schedules, and advocate innovative sustainable building

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years in HVAC design with lead responsibilities.
Strong thermodynamics and fluid mechanics expertise.
Proficient in CAD/simulation tools (Revit MEP, HAP, CFD).
Excellent leadership and remote collaboration skills.
Knowledge of sustainable, energy-efficient design.

Responsibilities

Lead design of HVAC systems including ductwork, refrigeration, and ventilation components.
Develop and review drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
Conduct performance simulations for energy efficiency and airflow.
Manage project scope, timelines, and resources for HVAC design with remote team.
Provide expert technical mentorship to engineering team.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
