Human Resources Generalist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Recruiter to join our team. This role will focus on end to end recruitment to ensure mobilisation of required resources within the Companies Equity Plan, recruitment milestone and South African legislation. The ideal candidate will have a strong recruitment background, excellent communication skills, and a high urgency for delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process across departments and business areas, including but not limited to draft job profiles, job postings, screening, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring manager and responsible HR team member to drive the process of recruitment based on the business needs.
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates through innovative channels (LinkedIn, networking events, etc.).
- Manage the candidate experience from sourcing to offer, ensuring an exceptional journey for all applicants.
- Drive an objective, fair, and effective interview and selection process that focuses on identifying top talent while minimizing unconscious bias.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Collaborate with HR and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding processes for new hires.
- Collaborate with external recruitment agents where identify and drive delivery.
Compliance Management:
- Ensure adherence to all local employment laws and regulations related to recruitment processes i.e. discrimination.
- Ensure that employment equity targets and transformation targets are observed during recruitment processes.
- Ensure compliance to recruitment policy and process.
HR Administration:
- Weekly reporting on recruitment status.
- Creating employee files and ensuring up-to-date record-keeping.
- Ensure HR admin and paperwork are sufficiently completed during onboarding.
- Feeding info to HR and payroll to ensure creation of new employee and payroll of new employees.
- Support with other HR-related activities as required and where capacity allows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma level qualification - HR related.
- 5 years working experience in the HR field with strong exposure to recruitment on all levels.
- Sound knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of employment equity principles and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Result orientated and deadline driven.
- Attention to detail and compliance-oriented.
