Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental aspects of offshore operations. The role is fully remote, with reporting through the East London, Eastern Cape base to coordinate across offshore projects in the Oil & Gas sector.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years HSE leadership, and NEBOSH IGC, with strong risk management, training delivery, and incident investigation skills to promote a robust safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years HSE management experience, with at least 5 years offshore Oil & Gas.
• Proven experience developing and implementing robust HSE management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and incident investigation methodologies.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote team effectively.
• Experience with environmental management and reporting is essential.
• Familiarity with the Eastern Cape region's regulatory environment is a plus.
