Placements24 is seeking a diligent and proactive HSE Advisor to support operations in Sandton, Gauteng. You will develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies across activities, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture in a hybrid role combining on-site and office planning.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in HSE within oil and gas, solid knowledge of SA legislation, and excellent auditing, incident investigation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in HSE management.
• 5+ years of experience in HSE in the oil and gas sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African HSE legislation.
• Auditing, risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
• Strong communication, reporting and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend appropriate follow-up actions.
