About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and dedicated HSE Officer to champion health, safety, and environmental initiatives at their operations near Randburg . This role is integral to ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will conduct safety inspections, develop risk assessments, and deliver safety training to employees. This position requires a strong commitment to safety principles and the ability to influence safety practices across all levels of the organization, with a balance of on-site presence and remote administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements for all operational activities.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
• Maintain HSE records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer , preferably in the oil and gas or industrial sector.
• Thorough knowledge of South African HSE legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
