Job summary

Implats is seeking a skilled HR/HRD professional to develop and maintain HRD policies, ensure data integrity across SAP and MQA MIS, and drive compliance with Skills Development Act and Mining Charter.

You will coordinate assessor/moderator registrations, oversee HRD reporting, and support learning delivery across units, including Portable Skills and Graduate Internships. ISO/ MQ A accreditation experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Diploma or Degree in HR/HRD/IT/Finance.
  • Registered Assessor and Moderator is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality verification of the HRD learning delivery system across units and disciplines.
  • Liaise in training and registering all assessors, moderators and facilitators.
  • Ensure verified data integration between Impala and MQA information systems.
  • Maintain HRD information and reporting systems; ensure MQA learner records and achievements are up to date.
  • Coordinate planned skills development interventions (Portable Skills, Work Experience Trainees and Graduate Internship) and supervise HRD staff.
  • Ensure compliance to HRD and Mining legislation by compiling SLP, Mining Charter, BBBEE, WSP/ATR and Skills Development Act requirements.
  • Maintain effective HRD reporting through timely distribution of reports.
  • Provide support and training to the HRD structure in line with compliance, systems and reporting.
  • Maintain policies and processes to secure MQA training provider accreditation and ISO certification.

Job description

To provide Skills Development initiatives in order to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and maintained as per quality and legislative requirements. To maintain core HRD Information systems and all associated systems to maximize effectiveness of HRD functions, ensuring data integrity through monitoring processes, compiling legislative reports and analytics, recommending and instituting improvements.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of legislation compliance within the Mining and Minerals Sector
  • Understanding of HRD legislation (Skills Development Act, National Qualifications Framework)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of MQA processes and requirements
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedures
  • Knowledge of Assessment and moderation procedures
  • Knowledge of information systems (SAP/ MQA MIS)

  • Demonstrate the knowledge pertaining to basic Health & Safety principles in the workplace
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Provides effective support and training to the overall HRD structure in line with compliance, systems and reporting.
  • Maintains policies and processes to ensure MQA training provider accreditation and ISO certification through regular audits.
  • HR/HRD/IT/Finance Diploma/Degree is essential.
  • Registered Assessor and Moderator is desirable.
  • 4-6 years' experience in HR/HRD/IT/Finance is essential.
  • Experience in ISO and MQA is essential.
  • Relevant exposure within the HRD field (AET, Mining, Engineering or Processing) is essential
  • 2 years' experience as registered moderator is Desirable.
