Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an HR Specialist focused on Talent Acquisition and Development to design recruitment strategies and develop learning programs. The role supports a dynamic tech-focused team and drives a robust talent pipeline from attraction through onboarding, working remotely across SA.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in HR with strong TA and L&D experience, adept at HRIS/ATS, and well-versed in SA employment laws, with excellent communication and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, business, or related field.
• 3–5 years in HR with emphasis on Talent Acquisition and/or Learning & Development.
• Proven full-cycle recruitment experience in technology sector.
• Experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
• Strong knowledge of SA recruitment practices and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job profiling and sourcing to candidate assessment and offer negotiation.
• Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates across various professional levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their talent needs and providing expert recruitment advice.
• Design and deliver effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly and quickly become productive.
• Identify training needs and develop/coordinate learning and development initiatives, workshops, and programs.
• Facilitate employee development plans and career pathing discussions.
• Utilize HRIS and recruitment technology to track candidate pipelines, manage data, and generate recruitment and L&D reports.
• Contribute to employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's attractiveness as an employer of choice.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in talent acquisition and employee development to continuously improve HR practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR, with a strong emphasis on Talent Acquisition and/or Learning & Development.
• Proven track record of successful full-cycle recruitment, particularly within the technology sector.
• Experience in designing and implementing employee development programs.
• Excellent understanding of recruitment best practices and employment legislation in South Africa.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS.
• Creative and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
