Qualifications

• 4+ years in a generalist HR role, ideally within retail.
• Hands-on experience with clocking/time and attendance, payroll, leave management and IR.
• Tech-savvy with HR systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and CCMA processes.
• HR qualification (Diploma or Degree) advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment support, onboarding, maintaining employee records and offboarding processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot the clocking and attendance system, ensuring accurate information for payroll and reporting.
• Prepare and verify HR-related payroll information, working with payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain leave records, monitor balances and ensure leave policies are applied consistently.
• Assist with disciplinary processes, grievances and CCMA-related matters, ensuring procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate HR data, identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure HR systems operate effectively.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing guidance and escalating complex matters.
• Build positive relationships with employees, supervisors and management across levels, including retail stores.
• Support HR policy implementation and compliance with labour legislation.
• Contribute to a supportive, professional workplace by ensuring HR processes are fair and people-focused.
