About the Role

Our client, a growing entity in the vibrant industrial landscape of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal , is seeking a proactive and organized HR Generalist with a specialization in Recruitment and Onboarding. This role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless talent pipeline and a positive introduction for new employees into the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to successful onboarding, while also contributing to broader HR generalist functions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and reference checks for various positions within our client's Durban operations.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds.
• Coordinate and conduct initial interviews, assessing candidate suitability against job requirements.
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and that new employees are integrated smoothly into the company culture.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and provide guidance on effective hiring practices.
• Maintain and update the HRIS with candidate information and recruitment progress.
• Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to recruitment and onboarding.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on recruitment and onboarding.
• Proven experience in managing the full recruitment lifecycle for various roles within the South African context.
• Familiarity with South African labor laws pertinent to recruitment and employment.
• Excellent interviewing and assessment skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with hiring managers and team members.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
