Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support employee relations, industrial relations, compliance, HR administration, recruitment and general employee support across the organisation.

The role requires 8+ years in HR/IR, strong knowledge of SA labour legislation, and experience within manufacturing or industrial settings. You will work closely with management and employees to ensure fair, consistent HR practices and robust record-keeping.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 6 qualification in HR, Labour Law or related field.
• 8+ years' experience in an HR Generalist/IR role.
• Strong experience in employee relations and industrial relations.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation.
• Experience handling disciplinary hearings, grievances and workplace investigations.
• Experience supporting management and employees in manufacturing/industrial environments is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' experience using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support employee relations and labour relations across the organisation.
• Coordinate disciplinary hearings and grievances, ensuring fairness and proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies.
• Assist with HR policy development, implementation and review.
• Deliver HR-related training to management and staff.
• Monitor absenteeism and disciplinary procedures in line with policy.
• Assist recruitment, induction and onboarding activities as required.
• Compile and maintain monthly HR and IR reports.
