Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town invites skilled spa therapists to join its luxury team. Deliver professional facials, massages and body treatments according to spa standards while delivering warm, attentive service throughout the guest journey.

Candidates should have CIDESCO/ITEC or equivalent, Matric and minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in luxury spa settings, with strong guest consultation, upselling abilities and a calm, guest-focused approach. Weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant spa therapy qualifications (CIDESCO/ITEC or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in facials, massages and body treatments in luxury spa/hotel environments.
• Strong consultation skills and upselling ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of spa hygiene, sanitation and treatment-room standards.

Job description

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12)


• Recognised Spa or Beauty Therapy qualification – CIDESCO, ITEC or equivalent


• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in facials, massages and body treatments – essential and non-negotiable


• Previous experience within a luxury spa, 4-star or 5-star hotel environment


• Strong practical knowledge of professional facial treatments and skincare


• Confident in performing a range of massage therapies, including relaxation, deep tissue and aromatherapy


• Experience performing body treatments, including scrubs, wraps and other spa therapies


• Strong guest consultation skills with the ability to recommend appropriate treatments


• Confident in retail product recommendations and treatment upselling


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Strong understanding of spa hygiene, sanitation and treatment-room standards


• Professional, well-groomed and guest-focused


• Ability to create a calm, welcoming and personalised experience for every guest


• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays


• Valid South African ID


• A fully updated CV with a professional, recent profile image and contactable reference details is essential

• Delivering professional facial treatments using appropriate products, techniques and protocols


• Performing body scrubs, wraps and other treatments according to the spa menu


• Providing warm, attentive and professional service throughout the guest journey


• Confidently recommending additional treatments and suitable retail products to enhance the guest experience


• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they remain immaculate, organised and guest-ready


• Following all spa hygiene, sanitation, health and safety procedures


• Maintaining professional treatment and grooming standards at all times


• Working closely with the wider Spa and Hotel team to deliver seamless guest experiences
