Job summary

Persona Staff in South Africa seeks an experienced IT Support Technician to provide on-site assistance across hotel and restaurant locations. You will perform daily IT checks, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and coordinate with third-party vendors while keeping tickets updated.

You will support Microsoft 365, Azure AD, MFA, Windows Server, and hospitality systems like Micros POS and Opera PMS, with emphasis on prompt, guest-focused service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in IT or systems support.
• Strong desktop and end-user support experience.
• Windows desktop installation, support and troubleshooting.
• Office 365 setup, administration, Azure AD, MFA configuration.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft products and services.
• Windows Server experience (2008/2012/2016/2019).
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, WLAN/WAN/LAN.
• Wireless networking configuration and troubleshooting.
• Network cabling and infrastructure support.
• Ubiquiti products knowledge is advantageous.
• Helpdesk and ticketing system experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day on-site IT support to hotel staff and management.
• Perform daily IT check-ins and proactive system monitoring.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
• Escalate and coordinate with third-party vendors as needed.
• Track, manage, and follow up on support incidents to resolution.
• Maintain documentation and ticket updates via helpdesk.
• Assist with IT infrastructure improvements and projects.
• Report daily to hotel management and account manager.
• Collaborate with remote support team for escalations and backups.
• Support hotel departments and restaurant locations across the property.
• Setup and support AV/conferencing equipment for meetings and events.
• Ensure conferencing and presentation systems function during startup periods.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting on hotel AV systems.
