Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking an experienced Hospitality Manager to oversee the restaurant, tasting centre, and kitchen in Franschhoek. You will lead and develop a high-performing team, ensure top-tier service, and manage stock, budgets, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities include coordinating reservations, guest flow, and events, while maintaining wine quality and guest satisfaction. A strong background in premium hospitality and wine knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ hospitality experience with supervisory/management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of wine estate operations and guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, tasting centre, and kitchen to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead, schedule, train, and develop the hospitality team across front-of-house, tasting, and kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of service, food quality, wine presentation, cleanliness, and facilities.
• Manage reservations, guest flow and day-to-day operational requirements.
• Build strong guest relationships and resolve queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Manage stock, purchasing, suppliers, wastage, breakages, and cost of sales.
