Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a seasoned Hotel Operations Leader in Franschhoek to assist the Hotel Manager with day-to-day duties, overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B to uphold service excellence.

You will monitor guest satisfaction, manage staff development, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with suppliers while driving budgeting and cost controls in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel management or a similar hospitality leadership role.
• Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.
• Protel PMS experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Hotel Manager with day-to-day operations of the hotel and ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
• Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage operations to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address complaints professionally, and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
• Support staff management through training, performance reviews, scheduling, and maintaining employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Manage stock, equipment and inventory levels while controlling waste and operational costs.
• Assist with budgeting, financial controls, reconciliations, and monitoring daily hotel financial processes.
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and implement best practices.
