Job summary

Village n Life seeks a Junior IT Technician to support our technology backbone across hotels, apartments, spas, restaurants and offices in Camps Bay and Cape Town. You’ll handle first-line IT support, system checks and device setups, ensuring staff have reliable tools to deliver guest service.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in IT support, solid Windows/MacOS knowledge, MS365 experience and a calm, methodical approach under pressure.

Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent and relevant technical qualifications.
Solid understanding of Windows and MacOS environments.
Microsoft certification or similar technical qualification is preferred.
1-3 years’ IT support experience in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with MS365 and remote support tools.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security tools.

Responsibilities

Provide first-tier IT support across properties via tickets, calls and walk-ins.
Perform daily system checks and standardised deployments.
Assist with user setups, software installations and device support.
Troubleshoot a diverse tech landscape and assist with CCTV and IP phones.
Support MS365, mobile devices, email platforms and Active Directory basics.
Maintain asset registers, password resets and vendor coordination.
Conduct basic backup checks and Mimecast monitoring.
Support POS monitoring and basic AV/conferencing setups.
