Job summary

Westin Cape Town is seeking an IT Support Intern for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the in-house IT department, assisting staff with technical issues, configuring hardware and software, and gaining hands-on experience in a hospitality setting. You will work under supervision, install and troubleshoot systems, follow procedures, and receive mentorship from experienced IT professionals.

Ideal candidates hold a National Diploma or Bachelor's in IT and possess basic networks, security

Qualifications

• National Diploma in IT or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and software.
• Basic knowledge of network and system security.
• Familiarity with hardware and software installation.
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently at times under supervision and as part of a team.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology.
• Gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment.
• Exposure to various technologies and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.
