Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a Mortgage Origination Specialist to oversee the mortgage application journey from lead to closing. You will generate new mortgage opportunities, assess client needs, and guide clients through loan products and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in mortgage origination, strong sales and communication skills, and familiarity with mortgage software and CRM systems in the Western Cape market.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of mortgage origination, loan brokering, or similar banking role.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and regulatory knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Generate new mortgage loan applications through networking and referrals.
- Conduct detailed financial needs assessments for borrowers.
- Educate clients on mortgage products, rates, and terms.
- Guide clients through the mortgage application process with accurate documentation.
- Pre-qualify borrowers and determine suitable loan amounts.
- Liaise with underwriters, appraisers, and other parties to process loans.
- Maintain relationships with clients and referral sources.
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations and company policies.
- Meet or exceed loan origination targets.
