Job summary

SimLanga Services in South Africa seeks a Sales Manager to lead a team of sales agents, drive achievement of daily, weekly and monthly targets, and oversee policy uptake. You will monitor KPIs, coach staff, and align strategies with FAIS, FICA and POPIA compliance.

You will work with underwriting, claims and customer service, ensure accurate client data capture, and deliver professional, customer-centric service while maintaining high morale and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Drive achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Monitor team KPIs (quotes, conversions, retention, upsell, cross‑sell).
• Implement sales strategies to increase policy uptake and profitability.
• Conduct daily stand‑ups, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new sales agents.
• Manage attendance, discipline, and adherence to company policies.
• Motivate and mentor agents to maintain high morale and productivity.
• Identify skills gaps and implement targeted development plans.
• Ensure full compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, TCF, and company policies.
• Oversee call quality, scripting adherence, and disclosure requirements.
• Manage complaints and escalations in line with regulatory standards.
• Track and report on sales metrics, conversion ratios, and pipeline health.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams.
• Ensure accurate capturing of client information and policy details.
• Maintain updated product knowledge across all short‑term insurance lines.
• Ensure agents deliver professional, ethical, and customer‑centric service.
• Resolve complex customer queries and support retention initiatives.
• Drive first‑call resolution and minimise cancellations.
