Job summary

Mototeam (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to identify and secure new truck sales opportunities, with a focus on Extra Heavy Commercial Vehicles and fleet sales. You will collaborate with the Sales Manager and Sales Director to shape strategies, product positioning and growth plans.

The role requires at least 3 years of sales experience in heavy vehicles, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to prepare quotations and tender documentation.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in Extra Heavy Commercial Vehicles and fleet sales.
• Marketing & Sales Diploma would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Diploma in Transport Management would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Proven ability to develop new business and achieve sales targets.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Sound commercial and financial awareness with understanding of sales profitability.
• Computer literacy and ability to prepare quotations, proposals and sales reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new truck sales opportunities within the assigned region, focusing on Extra Heavy Commercial Vehicles and fleet sales.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager and Sales Director to develop sales strategies, product positioning and growth plans.
• Achieve agreed sales targets, business objectives and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fleet operators and key decision-makers.
• Assist with selecting and specifying trucks to meet customer operational needs.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tender documentation in line with customer specifications.
• Negotiate with body builders, hydraulic suppliers and trailer manufacturers for suitable specifications and proposals.
• Coordinate with financial institutions to facilitate customer finance applications.
• Monitor and report on sales performance and progress against plans.
• Coordinate sales documentation for delivery and handover to ensure a professional experience.
• Continue developing product knowledge and training modules within agreed timeframes.
