About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding digital services firm, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to lead their SEO strategy and execution. This is a fully remote, senior leadership position that offers the opportunity to build and scale a best-in-class SEO function. The ideal candidate is a seasoned SEO expert with a deep understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, off-page strategy, and content integration. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge SEO strategies to drive significant organic growth, improve search engine rankings, and increase qualified website traffic. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to mentor and guide a remote team of SEO specialists. You will collaborate closely with content, development, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital initiatives. This is a unique chance to make a profound impact on our client's online visibility and market share, all within a flexible, remote work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, long-term SEO strategy to drive significant organic traffic and lead generation.
• Oversee all aspects of SEO, including technical SEO audits, keyword research, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link building.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Stay ahead of algorithm updates and industry best practices, translating them into actionable strategies.
• Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the search landscape.
• Collaborate with the web development team to ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented and maintained.
• Work closely with the content marketing team to align SEO efforts with content creation and distribution strategies.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
• Identify and implement strategies for international SEO if applicable.
• Drive continuous improvement in SEO performance, setting ambitious goals and exceeding them.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in SEO, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully driving significant organic growth for websites.
• Expert knowledge of technical SEO, on-page optimization, off-page strategies, and content SEO.
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript's impact on SEO.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in managing remote teams.
• Experience in developing and executing link-building strategies.
• Ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
