Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Head of Business Development in Centurion, Gauteng, to drive growth through strategic partnerships and technology-enabled solutions. The role combines business acumen with deep understanding of operations to enhance client outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead the sales cycle, collaborate with marketing and delivery teams, and build lasting relationships with key clients and partners across South Africa. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in tech, software, or operational consulting.
• Proven success in identifying and closing complex B2B deals.
• Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management, and technology solutions to improve efficiency.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic BD plans to drive revenue growth and market share.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities in operational efficiency and tech solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
• Lead full sales cycle from lead gen to contract negotiation and closing.
• Collaborate with marketing on value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
• Coordinate with technical/delivery teams to ensure solutions meet client needs.
• Analyze market trends to identify growth areas and threats.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts and service agreements.
• Represent the company at industry events and client meetings in Centurion, Gauteng and beyond.
