Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Concierge, with at least 2 in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of Sandton, Johannesburg and surrounding areas.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong network of contacts within the local service industry is highly desirable.
• Impeccable presentation and a polished, professional demeanor.
• Proficiency in hotel reservation systems and concierge software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
• A passion for service excellence and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Membership in Les Clefs d'Or is a significant advantage.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate the concierge team to deliver world-class guest service.
• Anticipate and fulfill a wide range of guest requests, including dining reservations, transportation, entertainment, and local tours.
• Develop and maintain an extensive network of contacts within the hospitality, entertainment, and service industries.
• Provide guests with accurate and insightful recommendations on local attractions, dining, and activities.
• Manage the concierge desk operations efficiently, ensuring prompt and professional handling of all inquiries.
• Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination of guest services.
• Maintain guest preference files and ensure personalized service delivery.
• Handle guest complaints and service issues with tact and professionalism.
• Oversee the booking and arrangement of special events and excursions for guests.
• Stay up-to-date on local events, trends, and developments to offer current and relevant advice.
