Placements24 is seeking an experienced Head Concierge & Guest Relations for a premier Cape Town property. This hybrid role blends on-site leadership with strategic planning to ensure personalized, memorable guest experiences.

You will lead a team, anticipate needs, and coordinate bespoke arrangements while resolving issues with grace. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in luxury hotel guest relations, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of Cape Town attractions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in concierge/guest relations within luxury hotels.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team.
• Exceptional knowledge of Cape Town attractions, dining and events.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a polished demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with concierge management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate the concierge team to deliver service excellence.
• Handle guest requests: reservations, transport, entertainment, itineraries.
• Be the primary contact for VIP guests with discretion and promptness.
• Build relationships with local vendors to enhance offerings.
• Implement guest relations programs, collect feedback, and drive service recovery.
• Conduct regular meetings and evaluations to ensure optimal performance.
• Contribute to budgeting and improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless guest experiences.
