Bridgestone Southern Africa is seeking a driver to assist with the collection and transportation of goods, attend breakdowns (including after hours), and maintain excellent customer relations. As part of Otraco Southern Africa within Bridgestone, you will support tyre management initiatives and mobility solutions in mining and other sectors.

Requirements include Grade 12, a valid CE license and PDP, and two years of heavy vehicle driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
• Valid Code CE Driver’s Licence & PDP.
• Two years HDV driving experience.

Responsabilités

• Collect and transport goods as required.
• Liaise with clients and keep accurate records of goods in transit.
• Perform breakdown service after hours.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
• Ensure servicing at correct intervals and comply with traffic laws.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and Health & Safety rules.
• Attend in-house training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Collection and transportation of goods.
• Client liaison and accurate record keeping of all goods in transit.
• Perform breakdown service after hours.
• Daily vehicle inspection and always ensure clean vehicle appearance.
• Ensure vehicle is serviced at correct intervals.
• Adhere to traffic regulations.
• Adherence to company policy and procedures.
• Adhere to Health and Safety protocol.
• Attend all in house training.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
• Valid Code CE Driver’s License & PDP.

Experience (years)

• Two years HDV Driving experience.

Skills

• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor repairs.
