Job summary

Bridgestone is seeking a Contract Manager for on-site operations in Lephalale, South Africa. The role focuses on managing contracts with suppliers and vendors, building strong working relationships, and ensuring capacity, quality, cost and continuity over the long term.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or mining, supervisory background, and a valid SA heavy vehicle licence. Knowledge of automotive industry practices is a plus, with a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or mining industries.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Valid heavy vehicle drivers’ licence (South African Code 10).
• Prior automotive/mechanical certification is advantageous.

About The Role

The Contrat Manager will be responsible for the relationship and contracts between the company and suppliers/vendors. He will be capable to establish and maintain long-term working relationships between the company, the client and suppliers. In order to improve time-to-market and to safeguard capacity, quality, cost and continuity in the long term. The person must have initiative, technical capacity, drive and be capable of making decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Experience within the construction or mining industries.
• Three years of Supervisory experience.
• A valid and appropriate heavy vehicle drivers’ licence (South African

Code 10)

Preferred:

• Five years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience.
• Certificate in Automotive (Mechanical fitting)
• Certificate in Assessment and Workplace training or Frontline management
