Job summary

Bright Placements seeks a Guest Relations/ Driving Tour Guide for CPT – Northern Suburbs, Western Cape. The role requires coordinating between Simon’s Town and GlenCairn, managing excursions and transfers, and taking ownership of the guest experience across properties.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid license and PDP, with experience hosting guests and excellent communication skills to engage all guest demographics in a local Cape Town context.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and PDP.
• Advanced drivers advantageous.
• Experience hosting guests on excursions.
• Local to the Cape Town area and familiar with attractions.
• Able to coordinate between Simon’s Town and GlenCairn properties and manage excursions and transfers independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between two properties for guest excursions and transfers.
• Lead on guest experience when guests are not on properties.
• Present well and communicate with all demographics.
• Take ownership of your contribution to the guest experience.

Job description

This person would need to have a valid license, pdp. Advanced drivers will be advantageous. They will also need some experience in hosting guests on excursions. The position will be employed by The Hotel but will be a shared resource between (Simon’s Town) and (GlenCairn), so it would be best to have someone that is local to the area and who is VERY familiar with all the attractions and activities on offer to guests in the Cape (wine farms, tourist spots, Cape Town attractions

The expectation is that this person is able to coordinate between the two properties and be able to manage excursions and transfers without having to be reminded. They take lead on this and take ownership for the guest experience when guests are not on our properties. They have to be well-presented and well-spoken, be able to communicate with all demographics of guests and take ownership of his contribution to the guest experience.
