Job summary

Multiform Human Development (Pty) Ltd. seeks a Guest House Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring superb guest experiences and profitability. You will welcome guests, manage bookings across channels, supervise staff and maintain rooms to the highest standards.

Role requires Afrikaans and English communication, with strong administration, budgeting and vendor coordination. The position is based in Klerksdorp, SA, and requires own transport and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent NQF level required.
• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
• Computer literacy with Excel, Canva, Nightbridge and Booking.com.
• Experience with Google Apps Suite is advantageous.
• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Own transport and valid driver’s license.
• Minimum two years in an administrative role; hospitality experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, handling inquiries and guest requests and complaints.
• Ensuring high guest satisfaction.
• Scheduling staff according to operational needs.
• Handling bookings on all platforms (online, WhatsApp, mail, telephone).
• Daily inspection of rooms and common areas for cleanliness and standards.
• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
• Managing budgets, processing payments and invoices.
• Promoting the guest house on social media and booking platforms.
• Standby during weekends and after hours for seamless guest experience.
• Carrying out administrative tasks.
• Assisting with repairs and maintenance within capabilities.

An industry leader within the hospitality industry is seeking a customer centric and dedicated Guest House Manager.

The Guest House Manager will oversee the daily operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences, high-quality service and business profitability.

Key responsibilities:

• Welcoming guests, handling inquiries and guest requests and complaints
• Ensuring high guest satisfaction
• Scheduling staff in accordance with operational needs.
• Handling bookings on all platforms (online, WhatsApp, mail, telephonic)
• Daily inspection of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and that the standards of the guest house are met.
• Monitoring stock levels on food, beverages, cleaning products and toiletries and making timeous orders where necessary.
• Managing budgets, processing payments and invoices
• Promoting the guest house on social media and booking platforms
• Stand by during weekends and after hours to provide a seamless guest experience
• Handling administrative tasks
• Assist with repairs and maintenance within capabilities

Minimum requirements:

• Matric or equivalent NQF level qualification
• Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English)

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Own transport
• A valid driver's license
• The successful incumbent must have at least two(2) years' experience in an administrative position, experience within the hospitality industry will be advantageous

Working hours:

• 07h00 - 14h00 Mondays to Fridays
• 07h00 - 14h00 every second weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
