Recruit for Africa PTY Limited in Johannesburg is seeking a Marketing and Ecommerce Coordinator to support digital marketing, e-commerce operations, content creation and customer engagement within a fast-paced retail environment.

You will coordinate online campaigns, maintain website content, support social media and email initiatives, monitor e-commerce performance and use data to improve online sales and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in marketing, advertising, business administration, communications or a related field is beneficial.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Digital Marketing & Ecommerce coordinator.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and other web development languages.
• Experience with SEO, web analytics and digital marketing platforms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the rollout of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with campaign objectives.
• Lead weekly content planning meetings to align with brand strategy, retail calendars, and product priorities.
• Compile and present monthly marketing performance dashboards highlighting campaign effectiveness, engagement metrics, and ROI.
• Serve as the main point of contact for creative agencies, influencers, and platform account managers (e.g., Meta, Google).
• Ensure consistent use of brand guidelines across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and event collateral.
• Assist in tracking marketing spend against budget, flagging variances and preparing monthly summaries for review.
• Train and supervise interns or junior team members on tools, systems, and platforms used within the department.
• Identify areas for improvement within marketing workflows and propose SOPs to increase efficiency.
• Contribute to the planning and refinement of the customer engagement journey across social and digital touchpoints.
• Monitor emerging online issues or customer complaints and elevate potential brand risks to senior team members.
