Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting for a Pharmaceutical Production Technician in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This on-site role supports manufacturing operations, ensuring GMP-compliant production and precise record-keeping on the factory floor.

You will operate and maintain tablet presses, capsule fillers, and packaging lines, monitor processes, and work safely as part of a team dedicated to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NTC 3 or equivalent technical qualification in manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years in pharma or regulated manufacturing.
• Solid GMP understanding.
• Ability to operate and maintain complex equipment.
• Willing to work shifts/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain tablet presses, capsule fillers, and packaging lines per SOPs.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Record production data, batch records, and equipment logs.
• Identify and report equipment issues or deviations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Participate in validation activities and equipment qualification.
• Handle and store raw materials and finished products properly.
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative team focused on continuous improvement.
