Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Production Supervisor for their Mossel Bay facility in the Western Cape. You will oversee daily production, drive quality, safety, and efficiency, and lead a team of operators and line leaders to meet targets.

Key responsibilities include monitoring processes, addressing downtime, maintaining records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as lean practices to reduce waste and enhance productivity.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing/FMCG environments.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a team and foster a positive work culture.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma principles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets and schedules.
• Ensure production processes comply with quality, safety, and company policies.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Manage, train, and motivate operators and line leaders.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain production records and generate reports on output, quality, and performance.
