Job summary

Placements24 in East London, South Africa, seeks a Senior Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to lead production activities, operate and maintain reactors, filters, and packaging lines, and ensure compliance with GMP standards.

You will collaborate with engineering and QA teams to optimize batch records, monitor critical parameters, perform routine maintenance, and implement improvements to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience as a pharmaceutical manufacturing technician.
• GMP environments and SOP adherence are required.
• Experience operating and maintaining complex manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (reactors, filters, dryers, packaging).
• Execute batch records and follow SOPs accurately.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust to maintain quality and yield.
• Perform cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and escalate when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for safety and compliance.
