Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Cape Town to lead a team of Associates, MHE operators, cycle counters and general workers. The role ensures efficient warehouse operations, targets, KPIs and quality standards are met for customers.

You will provide line management, coordinate workloads, and drive process improvements using WMS/ERP systems. Strong leadership, communication, and adherence to safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent; relevant degree in coordination or supply chain preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse or supply chain operations; 2-3 years in supervision.
• MS Excel, WMS platforms, and warehouse reporting tools experience.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily workflow of the Inventory and outbound floor, ensuring orders are received, picked and loaded.
• Oversee Inventory management, stock control, and attention to detail.
• Train, schedule, and evaluate outbound and Inventory staff; foster a safe, productive environment.
• Track orders to ensure timely picking, invoicing and loading; stock movements.
• Ensure 100% inventory accuracy and compliance with safety policies.
