Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Process Safety Engineer for a fully remote role responsible for championing process safety across Oil & Gas operations. You will develop and implement robust Safety Management Systems, conduct PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA) and risk assessments, and lead MOC, PSSR, and mechanical integrity programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering and 9+ years of Oil & Gas process safety experience, with strong leadership and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 9 years of process safety engineering in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and standards.
• Experience leading PHAs and developing safety-critical procedures.
• Remote-work capability and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage PSM programs.
• Lead PHAs including HAZOP, LOPA, and consequence modeling.
• Develop MOC, PSSR, and mechanical integrity procedures.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver process safety training across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with API, OSHA, CCPS and regulatory requirements.
